Hacker Ross Ulbricht, aka Dread Pirate Roberts, runs the underground drug bazaar Silk Road. In 2013, Silk Road is shut down, and Ulbricht is charged with narcotics trafficking, money laundering, and even solicitation of murder. He is sentenced to life in prison.
